KIWI COASTAL MAGIC WITH AN ENGLISH TWIST

Meticulously crafted, the home is spacious, comfortable and relaxing. Full of English character, it incorporates extensive recycled timbers in the ceilings, floors and joinery. There are jarrah ceiling beams, totara door frames, cedar sashes and a beautiful old, recycled kauri staircase. Bricks on the exterior came from the Grafton Gorge in Auckland.

Substantial open-plan living downstairs flowing outdoors makes it easy to entertain. In winter, a big open-fire in a stone fireplace keeps the house cosy. A farmhouse style kitchen has a full-size scullery behind, well-equipped to for crowds. The grand living room spills outside to a covered verandah overlooking the inlet. The other side opens through French doors to a generous, sheltered courtyard and lawn. The whole house wraps around the courtyard, so you can always retreat from offshore breezes.

The house was designed for a couple but because it is large enough, it can to adapt to a variety of situations. There are obvious options for a family or boutique accommodation. The large master suite downstairs is self-contained with a traditional bathroom and huge walk-in dressing room. While you live downstairs, the whole top floor area with two large independent suites can be used independently. Guests can come to stay and happily enjoy their own space without tripping over one another.
